Instrumental Ensemble (Guzheng) Arts Presentation

The calm trickling of a stream or the crashing of waves can be mimicked by human hands on the gu zheng. Sit back, relax and allow the melodious tunes of the Maha Bodhi School Guzheng Ensemble to transport you to a different world!

The guzheng (Chinese: 古箏), also known as the Chinese zither, is a Chinese plucked string instrument with a more than 2,500-year history. The modern guzheng usually has 21 strings and is 1.6 metre long.

Maha Bodhi Guzheng Ensemble will be playing 2 songs pieces, namely:

  1. 茉莉香 – Composer: Folk song, Arranger: 陈素慧 Tan Su-Hui, Sophy
  2. 牧民新歌 – Composer: 简广易, Arranger: 陈素慧 Tan Su-Hui, Sophy
